Ok, maybe it was a decade...but I miss sharing tips for decluttering and downsizing.
A lot has happened in the past 10 years in our family:
One "kid" is in his 2nd year of college, the other in her 2nd year of high school (!) - and it really is like the saying 'the days are long, but the years are short'...those toddler and elementary days were so, SO exhausting, but now I find myself remembering them with an ache in my being that only old videos can sort of subdue.
We have 2 dogs now, we lost our beloved pittie (Stella) about 3 years ago and immediately adopted a rebound puppy {which I do NOT recommend!}...she's a hot mess sometimes, but we love her when she's tired and snuggly. She's half pit and half all things herding breeds...so she needs worn out daily (sometimes more than once/day). We adopted the Pekingese (Eugene) about 5 years ago, and he made quite the pair with a pitbull. ha!
We downsized into our tiny house (FINALLY--only 10 years in the making!!)...all 4 of us, plus 2 dogs. It was a 7+ month process from signing the contract to actually moving in, and we stayed with a friend after we sold the big house (which was supposed to be for a few weeks...and turned into almost 3 months, but it was a fun adventure!). We took our clothes and some of the bulky things to her house, and put the rest of what was left from downsizing 1600sqft to ~400sqft into our 8x8 shed at the tiny house village:
Lottie sure is cute though... {also: our couch is 112"!}
move-in day...40x10 is a big tiny home :)
a deck is a must-have with a tiny house
The view from our house...we live in a tiny home village, but still have this view :)
